We loved the set. It is heavy, looks beautiful, nice cushioned chairs, great placemat storage....but we are very disappointed in the tabletop for the price. The material it is made of is crap. Our table has began peeling. There were a couple of these spots upon assembling the table but they have grown. This is not due to hot plates or strange cleaning chemicals. It’s just doing it! Also the seams in the table are nothing but crumb, salt and pepper catchers. I am sorry to have to leave this review as we loved our experience with Virginia Furniture market. Unfortunately this item was also not made in the USA. Makes a difference with a big purchase like this. We will probably just have to add our own top to this one day or else will have to cover it with annoying tablecloths. Hope this honest review helps someone who wants the table and chair of their dreams. Stick with wood! Not this funky tabletop stuff all the stores are peddling.
